There's A Lot More to Weston Missouri Than Old Buildings!
Pre-Civil War, Weston had grown to a population of 5,000, serving as one of the largest steamboat ports second only to St Louis. However after floods, fires and the Civil War, the population dwindled to less than 1,000.
Today there are still less than 2,000 citizens of Weston. Yet, weekends are usually teeming with tourists and locals out to take in the scenery and visit the many diverse shops, which include candle makers, unique garden art, clothing, gift shops and home accessories.
There are also bed & breakfasts, an Irish bar, spas & salons, museums, a busy candy and ice cream parlor and much more. I couldn’t resist the home made fudge!
If you are ever in the area and want a fun road trip, plug in Weston, MO in your GPS and get ready for some fun!
