Veteran's Park in Royal Palm Beach Florida- A Hidden Treasure!
Royal Palm Beach in Palm Beach County has a hidden gem in their Veteran's Park. We ran across this park while searching for a Veteran's Park in our area to place a Geocache. If you're not familiar with geocaching, it's like a scavenger hunt using a GPS. We have a Veteran's Park series of geocaches in Palm Beach County.
The Village of Royal Palm Beach,incorporated in 1959, is in central Palm Beach County and has a poplulation of just over 31,000. Veteran's Park is easily accessible by all residents and offers plenty of parking and green space.
The park covers 6 acres, has a large and small amphitheatre, walking path, waterfall, an interactive fountain , covered picnic areas and The Mess Hall! It's just large enough to get out for some fresh air, have a birthday party under one of the pavillions, and have a small home-town feel. The Mess Hall offers sandwiches and drinks and there are some military memorbilia.
We chose to place one of our cahces here because in addition to all of the amenities mentioned above, there statues surrounded by a circle of flags to honor those whove served in our armed foreces and our First Responders,
