2011 Veteran’s Day Ceremony in Boca Raton, FL
Veteran’s Day is this Friday, November 11 and there will be celebrations in communities and cities throughout our country. There are several places where our Veterans will be honored in our area. Let’s make sure that our Veterans know how much we appreciate them this weekend!

The program begins this Friday at 9:30 in Veteran’s Park in West Boca. The event is sponsored by the Veteran’s Coalition of South Florida and Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation. The public is invited.

Wellington will have their annual parade beginning at 8:45 a.m. at the Wellington Community Center, 12130 Forest Hill Blvd; with a ceremony to follow at the Veteran’s Memorial, Forest Hill Blvd and South Shore Blvd.
*Note: if you are an active or retired Veteran, you can register at the tent and your name will be read during the ceremony.

If you cannot make it to a ceremony, why not take a break on Friday and head to one of our many Veteran’s Parks in the area. Spend a moment, as you look at some of the statues and say a silent prayer of thanks to those who have helped to give us all that we are blessed to have today.
