At this time of year it's easy to find all of the positive things we're thankful for.... our family, our health, good friends, and that 2010 is coming to an end! This Thursday, THANKSGIVING, many of us will join our friends and family for what has become a celebration of turkey, pumpkin pies, sweet AND mashed potatoes, and my favorite, lots and lots of football (Go AGGIES!).
And a tradition many families have is to go around the Thanksgiving table as each person states what they're thankful for. It's a good one and one I hope we always continue.
However, this year as I was pondering my list, I decided to throw a different twist on it ... a Lemon Twist. Ever heard of making lemonade out of lemons??
* I'm thankful for growing OLDER because that means I'm still alive.
* I'm thankful for my missteps and mistakes because of what I've learned from them.
* I'm thankful for the things I've lost because it means I was fortunate enough to have had them.
* I'm thankful for the hard times I've had because they've made me relish the good ones.
* I'm thankful there's only 24 hours in a day because then I appreciate every minute given to me.
* I''m thankful for my competition because they've made me work harder.
So come on and make some lemonade... What are you Thankful for???
