Why wouldn't you want to go to the Annual July 4th Fireworks and Fesitivities held in Delray Beach, Florida where bustling Atlantic Avenue meets the beautiful Atlantic Ocean?
Delray Beach, Florida, known as the Village By the Sea definitely lives up to its name. It is a community of 60,000 + sun loving, ocean loving people sandwiched between Boca Raton and Ft.Lauderdale to the south and Boynton Beach and Palm Beach to the north. The first recorded history was in 1876, with settlement beginning in 1884 with the purchase of land for farming.
With average highs around 83 degrees and lows around 67 degrees, Delray Beach attracts year round as well as seasonal (otherwise known as Snow-birds) citizens.
Grab your sunscreen and a towel and head by car, foot or bike to the corner of Atlantic Avenue and the Atlantic Ocean.

Activities begin at 8 am with a Sandsculpting Exhibition and end at 9 pm with a breathtaking Fireworks display that can be seen from boats anchored just offshore and in the Intracoastal Waterway, as well as the many of have walked and biked their way to enjoy the fireworks from a front row seat on the beach.
In between, you can participate in a Hot Dog or Hamburger eating contest, a Patriotic Bicycle or Scooter parade or Beautiful Baby Bathing Suit Contest.
