Selling Your Home in Palm Beach County- 8 Things You don't Want to Forget to Do when You move.
Spring is not just the time of renewal, springing forward, or spring cleaning. Many buyers are seriously making their decisions to buy now either because they are getting ready to head back up north for the summer or families want to buy their new home, move and get settled before school starts in the fall.
So as you are making your many lists, get a head start on organizing yourself. Don't forget these last minute tasks:
Things to Do:
#1 Don't forget to pick up any items you still have at your Dry Cleaners or other repair places.

#2 Collect all of your personal records and place them in a safe place that you'll take with you on your move. These items include:
~Medical information including your physician's correct address and telephone number, as well as your medical records. In some cases, you might be charged a small administrative fee.
~School Records
~Local bank accounts
~Veterinary Records- don't forget your pets. You'll need information on any of their illnesses as well as documentation of their most recent shots, etc.
#3 Make sure you keep a list of phone numbers and other contact information for your current location. At some point, you'll be asked the address of your last residence and while it may still be fresh in your mind for a month... you'll have so many others numbers to remember it's nice to have a record.
#4 You may have hidden keys to the house or other "goodies" stashed around, so be sure to collect them before you move. I've heard of new home owners finding jewelry tucked away in little hiding places that the previous owner forgot about.
#5 Cancel or Transfer any club memberships you may have. In some cases it may be just a matter if providing them with your new contact information.
#6 If you have EFT or Automatic Payments set up for your utilities or other services, make sure they are stopped after your final payment.
#7 Library Books- You'll want to return these or the fine and postal fees could end up being more than the cost of the book!
#8 Change of Address- This goes without saying, but besides setting up a forwarding address you'll want to change your address for:
~ Magazines and other subscriptions
~ Credit Cards
~ Financial institutions, including stock and investment accounts.
~ Insurance accounts
~ Recurring Internet accounts such as Amazon.com, where you have items routinely shipped to your home address.
