I’m doing it again this year... making lemonade out of lemons! See if you can add your teaspoonful of sugar to the lemons you’ve been handed.

Last year I wanted to put a different twist on the tradition of saying what I am thankful for. Of course I am thankful for my family and friends, for my health, and all the many blessings I’ve been given.
However with a little homage to Pollyanna, I wanted to find the “good” in some of the
lemons in my life. Here are some from last year as well as some I've added:
However with a little homage to Pollyanna, I wanted to find the “good” in some of the
lemons in my life. Here are some from last year as well as some I've added:I’m thankful for my missteps and mistakes because of what I’ve learned from them.
I’m thankful for the hard times I’ve had because they make me appreciate all of the good ones.
I’m thankful there are only 24 hours in a day because I appreciate every minute given to me.
I’m thankful for my competition because they make me try harder.
and this year....
I’m thankful for...
….....the aches I feel after my morning walk because I know that each step I take and every ounce I lose is hard-earned.
…..... the slow summer I had because it allowed me time to visit with my families in Texas, Nebraska and Kansas.
…..... my grey (ok... white) hairs that are coming in because it means I’ve had a long blessed life.
…..... the increasing presence of Social Media in my life because it has forced this old dog to learn some new tricks.
So as I did last year I ask you to make some lemonade out of your lemons...
What is it you’re thankful for out of your bowl of lemons?
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my ActiveRain Friends!
