Today I had Breakfast AND Lunch with my Palm Beach County family of Realtors... what more could you want! (read on to see a familiar AR face)
I had an early start with the Women's Council of Realtors Greater Palm Beach County for the first business meeting of 2011. Held at the Boca Greens Country Club, our 2011 Chapter President, Sandy Shepherd welcomed new members and set the tone for the coming year... "Through our influence as successful business professionals, women will effect positive change in the profession and in the broader community."
(The light was in everyone's camera, but I just had to share with you what a beautiful and sunny view we had!) Stagers, if you have the opportunity to join as an affiliate your local WCR, I suggest you do. They are a dynamic group of women (and men) who are very active in their profession.
Next stop was the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches Monthly Lunch on the House. Besides the many services the Board provides for its members, once a month they offer a quick lunch and a guest speaker. This month we learned about the benefit of adding video to your blog or website and also how to do it.
Domenic Caloia gave a good piece of advice that I'll pass on... if you're showing a living room, for example, it's evident that it's the living room. He likened it to Robin Leach on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Robin didn't just say "Here is the living room." He, in a way that was clearly Robin Leach, would embellish the video with his description of how the imported marble fireplace was perfect for the evenings at home... yada yada.
We've read here at our own ActiveRain about adding videos to your blog or website, so you know it's the way to be marketing.
