This is the time of year my husband lives for..... March Madness... The Dance... Sweet Sixteen.... Elite Eight... and The Final Four! If you still don't know what this is all about... it's college basketball.
Each year we fill out our brackets, or as Mike & Mike (ESPN) call them... the Sheets of Integrity. I have been known to fill out 2 but never more than that... it's just too hard to keep up. In years past, you filled out your bracket, then as the tournament progressed, you would circle your wins or cross out your losses. By the end of the Tourney, I'd defy anyone to figure out these things.
With everything on the Internet now... you can fill out your bracket online and just sit back. As your teams win... or sadly lose... your wins will show up in GREEN and losses in RED.
As I write this, it is Day 1 and the right side of my bracket is beginning to look a little weak. I don't think I'm alone, though, because like many others I played it safe on the first round and went chalk. (I picked the favorites to win).
As I said, I filled out 2 brackets... one is the money bracket (self explanatory) and the other one satisfies the less conservative in me.
Oh yes... and the Killer "B's".... my husband's Alma Mater, the University of Kansas (the Jayhawks) is well known for its basketball (2008 Champs).
But there were a few years when, though they were favored to go high, were beaten in the early rounds by Butler and Bucknell. The Killer B's. And today, they will face Boston University!
Once again... the Killer B's.
I don't know about you ... but I'm ready for some football!
