Time is Marching On Whether You Are or Not!
This is the time of year when many of us are taking a look back at the past year as well as looking forward to what the future holds for us. We make
plans that we hope will take us forward into the coming year as well as those to come down the road.
It is usually a time when we take stock of our lives, especially our careers, and especially when we’ve hit a certain age. Are we where we thought we’d be? Are we doing what we want to do?
Let me leave you with a very simple thought that was suggested to me years ago when I was considering a change. I had already completed graduate school and was working as a placement consultant in Houston. I was doing well and had even become a Manager of one of the offices.
However, I’d always considered going to law school or taking more classes to get certified in Marriage and Family Counseling. BUT.... and how many of you have found yourself here.... doing that would take me TWO years!
TWO WHOLE Years!!! It seemed forever to me. I'd already spent 4 years in college and 2 more in graduate school. egads! More school?!
But a very wise woman said …whether you take the courses or not, it will still be two years from now
OK...OK that was over twenty years ago. And, no I did not go to law school.
My point in all of this is don’t let the fact that something you want to do may take “x” number of years to do it. If that’s all that’s stopping you.... go for it.
Time will not stop or go away. Two years from now, God willing, you will still be here.

It’s your choice what to do in those years.
