I need Google+ Circles in My Real Life to Help Me Know Who's Who and How I Know Them!
Having lived in different cities I'm always running into people that I think I know. Problem is I'm never sure if I know them from living here in Delray Beach; my hometown of Houston or from a few other cities I've lived in. Or... maybe I don't really know them at all! And do I know them socially or from my work.
So as not to offend anyone, I make it a practice to always smile and say "Hello" as if they're a long lost friend. To some they may be wondering the same thing when they see me... or they may just think I'm some nut case that says hello to everyone.
Growing up in Houston, I had my family and everyone I knew through them... then people I knew from grade school .... then college friends. And, oh yes, there were my social group of friends; you know.. the ones you partied with, dated, went to movies, etc. Then graduate and you have to add another group of people you know... your work group.
You see someone and quickly your mind starts clicking like a computer... images begin to pop up in your head as you try to figure out if (1) you really do know them and (2) how you know them.
Wouldn't it be nice if we had a "Google + Circles" in our head. We could quickly sort through to find out who someone is. Do I want to tell this person some information or are they in the group that doesn't get my juicy tidbit.
