It's already started... my annual withdrawal from football better known in my house as "What are we going to do for the next 6 months?"
If I were to be honest, the withdrawal began yesterday, Super Bowl Sunday while there was still several hours of football left. You see, I'm from Texas where if you weren't playing football you were watching it... High School football, college, professional... didn't matter as long as it was football. I remember spending one Saturday going to 2 football games.
Thanksgiving Day... a television set in every room.. all turned to... yep... football! When Bud Adams moved the Houston Oilers to Tennessee and they became the Tennessee Titans I was depressed, then mad for months..... actually I still can't bring myself to root for the team.
In the past, Super Bowl games were pretty much a let down. One team dominated and it was pretty much a giant food fest. Well it still is.. and there are still great Super Bowl parties. There was even one here on ActiveRain courtesy of Russel Ray.
So I now have to wait until August, when there will be exhibition or pre-season games. 
Ah-h-h- But wait.. what's that you say.. a possible Strike?! They want to have them play 18 games instead of 16?? Salary cap for rookies ? (which I think they should have!)
Come on Guys... I'm wiggin' out here. Get your act together.. I'm havin' withdrawal here!
