I was a little late in finding out about the 30 in 30 Challenge but I did manage to finish it. In the 30 days I posted, I took 2 long road trips: one planned and one unexpected. But I was determined... I would not be stopped.

So...what did I learn??....... CRAPP
Creativity- it's easy to post "Before and After" photos of my recent Stagings. But writing 30 posts in 30 consecutive days meant I had to come up with different subjects that someone might want to read. I actually had to think about topics and organize my thoughts. I learned to take a subject and look at it from a different perspective or angle.
Routine- there are those at ActiveRain who are regular posters. What I learned was probably what they already know....writing posts, either daily , every other day, or whatever schedule I choose, becomes part of your routine. In the last 30 days, deciding what to write, gathering ideas became routine for me. I hope I can maintain that discipline.
Awareness- this probably goes hand in hand with Creativity, but I learned to be more AWARE not only of my surroundings but the people around me and what they were doing. A blog can contain more than information on foreclosures, mortgage rates or the latest color trends. I learned you can post about people you meet on a day to day basis and how they have impacted those around them. I learned to look at more than just the black and white of something but also the grey and shaded areas of things.
Prepare- everything you do or see could be "blog" worthy. You never really know when that opportunity will present itself. So I learned to have a camera, paper and pen(or the electronic equivalent) handy wherever I go. And, even if I don't know what will "pop" into my head, I've decided to take as many photos of everything out there. That way, I have my own (as in copyright free, thank you Lenn Harley) photos to use.

Plan- this one takes organization. I learned to view an upcoming event as, yes, a subject for my blog. So with a little planning I learned to outline in my head what I wanted the focus of my post to be and then I was able to plan which photos to take and what information to gather.
Would I do it again? You Bet!
Oh and one other thing... with this post, as I did last year on my birthday I should hit another Point Milestone........ 200,000 Points!!!

Thanks you Rainers for motivating me to get this far!
