A Useful Blogging Tip- Just Because It's Been Written... Doesn't Mean It's Been READ!
With the 31 Days in May Challenge in full swing, we're all scratching our heads and searching for something about which to write. Yes you can write about a listing, post a recipe, write about something funny that happened to you today....but eventually you'll think you hit a wall.
You'll feel as if you've exhausted every single thought you may have had in your head... well you will unless you're Alan May or Roger Mucci(BARFF).
When I began blogging, and even still, I would consider a topic and think to myself:
"Self... you can't write about that.. Speedy Poster already did" Or you might say: "Self.. you can't write about that.. you already covered that topic 3 years ago."
Well think again.. Just because it's been written before, doesn't necessarily mean it's been read!
We have over 206,000 members here so if even 1% of them posted each day that's over 2000 posts.
There are bloggers every day whom I've never read but for a chance glance tomy left ... topics every day that would have been overlooked by me were it not for a reblog or the weekly summary by Pat Kennedy. And... I'm still not reading every post.
So.. don't hesitate to write on a subject that's been previously discussed...
Just be sure to put your spin... your own voice into it.
And, go back to some of your previous posts... no, don't just copy and paste them... add new material... view them through a different light.
Good Luch in the 31 Days in May Challenge!

I must say with my own personal experience in January, I made some good Active Rain friends that I still keep up with now. I learned some very valuable blogging tips that help my readership enjoy my blog posts better. Plus that challenge helped me grow as an individual & got my whole family involved in helping me see an opportunity to blog about something important. Now when my hubby & I are out & about in the community, he will say, "Oh you need to blog about that one." He is so onboard with me & supportive. I love it!!!
