The 30th International Coastal CleanUp is September 19, 2015.  Here’s How You Can Help in Delray Beach.

Please join the many volunteers who will participate in the 30th Trash on our beachAnnual International Coastal CleanUp on Saturday, September 19.

WHEN- Saturday, September 19, 2015

TIME- 8-10 A.M.

WHERE-  Sandoway House

142 South Ocean Blvd

Delray Beach, FL

Download your Volunteer Registration here.

We are so lucky to be living in one of the “Happiest Seaside Towns in America.”  With 2 miles of public beachfront, it is up to all of us to do our part to help keep our beaches clean.

Come and join the volunteers on September 19 and make a difference.

In 2014, there were more than 560,000 volunteers...

Tips for Volunteers-

*Wear sunscreen

*Bring water

*Be careful picking up sharp objects

*Do not pick up any hypodermic needles. Note where they are and report to event coordinators.

They collected 16 million pound of trash in 91 countries.

Add this App called Clean Swell  for IOS or Android Smartphone and help the Ocean Conservancy keep track of what is being collected and where.

Cigarette butts are still #1 in trash collected.

You can download the 2014 Ocean Trash Index to learn more about just what is being collected, or take a look at this Infographic from their 2015 report.

Or find out where there is a CleanUp in your area.

If you can’t make that day, the next time you’re out, whether on the beach or anywhere else, take the few extra seconds to pick up the trash that other thoughtless people have left behind.
